Croix Grand Hotel

I saw bed bugs on the towels. The hotel won’t refund you for an unsatisfactory room after the first 15 minutes, but that time goes by while you unload and decide where to eat before you’ve even settled in.

I paid $445.50 for a room based on the Expedia photos, and I wish I’d read the reviews first. I checked out faster than I’d checked in. The front desk woman was rude and unwelcoming, and I had a bad feeling as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Dust on the A/C unit was visible through the window before I even opened the door. Inside, the room looked neglected and nasty, and the beds weren’t level. I’m glad I left. My comfort matters more than money wasted, and I hope this hotel gets shut down. If you’re thinking of booking this “hotel,” DON’T DO IT!

The floors were scuzzy, the bed uncomfortable, the door lock broken, and the coffee maker didn’t work. There was no ice maker, the pool was closed, and the analog TV had only eight channels. When I asked for an extra blanket, the front desk said, “No. We don’t do that here.” I also asked why the room cable didn’t match the lobby TV, and was told, “I don’t know what the rooms show. You have to ask the owner.” I checked out and moved to a reputable hotel. Pay the extra 20 bucks and stay somewhere else. Maybe the closed pool explains the empty parking lot.

The room had only one lock on the inside, a cracked tub by the drain, and a broken table that wobbled when touched. The TV had six stations, and one thing didn’t work. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It’s been two weeks and my deposit still hasn’t been returned. 😡😡😡😡
