Courtyard by Marriott Secaucus Meadowlands

The bus stop right by the hotel goes to the NYC port authority terminal in central Manhattan. It’s a convenient and much cheaper way to see the city. I didn’t try breakfast since there are plenty of places around. I stayed for a week in a refurbished room. It was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There’s a busy road nearby, but it didn’t disturb my sleep. I’d be more cautious about hotels right next to an interstate, though this one isn’t. A good stay, and I can recommend it.

The hotel restaurant was very good, with polite service and reasonable prices. There are also several amazing restaurants within walking distance, and parking is included. We’ve stayed here several times for meetings because the location is excellent. The hotel is nice overall, but could use a facelift and more attention to detail. My room had stained drapes, the tubs were chipped, and the floor was worn. Some renovations are needed, and the staff needs to step up to the Marriott brand. At check-in they seemed low on energy and gave us the impression we were inconveniencing them. They also grilled us about our corporate code, as if we were lying. I use it every time we stay here or at any Marriott.

We had a welcoming, tranquil stay at Courtyard by Marriott Secaucus Meadowlands, with a convenient connection to New York City. It’s just minutes from Meadowlands Sports Complex, MetLife Stadium, and local shopping and attractions. The area has plenty of restaurants, and The Bistro on site serves freshly made breakfast, dinner, and Starbucks drinks. The rooms have plush bedding, workspaces, flat-screen TVs, and high-speed Wi-Fi. There’s an indoor pool and a well-equipped fitness center for downtime, plus flexible meeting and event spaces with modern technology for business gatherings, conferences, or social occasions. Staff were attentive. It worked well for both work and leisure, whether you’re going to an event or taking a getaway. The mix of amenities, easy access, and service made for a comfortable, memorable visit.

We wanted an affordable night near NYC, and this hotel was just right. The rooms were spacious, clean, and up to date, and service was very good. Parking is free, the 320 bus into manhattan is easy to reach, and there are good restaurants around the corner. My husband and I will definitely come back on our next NJ/NY trip.
