If you’re walking, there isn’t much to do nearby, so you’ll probably need a cab or rental car. Driving is more convenient: the Lincoln Tunnel is close, major routes are easy to reach, and there’s plenty of hotel parking. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though they’re beginning to show their age. The place has useful practical facilities, including a laundry room, pantry for everyday items, in-room microwave, and business center with an ATM. Staff were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout. I enjoyed the stay, though I do wish breakfast had been included. It costs a reasonable amount and has a good balanced spread.

The room was decent, but I’m writing because of breakfast. I had a delicious homemade omelette each day we ordered from the menu. Our waitress, Prapa, went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed and that breakfast was good. She was courteous, polite, and very friendly. Ask for her if you’re having breakfast.

The room had a sticky carpet, an uncomfortable squeaky bed, a toilet that kept flushing by itself until we fixed it, loud AC, and no bathroom vent. We booked because the hotel was close to family, but we regret choosing it and won’t return. I was there as a guest of a friend who booked for 4/29. We arrived around 5 PM and were greeted by a woman I believe was the manager, a Latina woman with dark hair. She seemed to be having a bad day and took it out on us, with an attitude throughout check-in that made us feel unwelcome. Later we asked her for more bottled water. She said, “We already gave you two.” I said we wanted more, and she replied that it would cost $3. We were fine with that, but when we chose to pay cash, another staff member, a blonde woman, said something in Spanish as if we understood, though we didn’t. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I hope corporate addresses the room issues and reminds front desk staff to be approachable and welcoming, since they set the first impression.

The rooms are old and dated, the internet was horrible, and the remote was disgusting. I cleaned it twice, and seeing how filthy it was made me wonder what else hadn’t been cleaned. The pool was out of order for maintenance, even though I called before booking and was told it was open and ready. The gym was horrible too. And the complimentary breakfast... there wasn’t any. For a few dollars more, we could have stayed somewhere with breakfast, a pool, and a decent-sized gym.
