Best Western State Fair Inn

The front desk staff were friendly, and I understand that cleaning rooms comes first, but the lobby bathrooms hadn't been cleaned in hours. We were there for a work meeting, and the owner or manager wouldn't let us have lobby coffee because our company hadn't included it in the meeting room rental. We'd paid for that room over a month in advance. It seemed odd, since coffee can't cost that much to provide.

The hotel manager, Tom, spoke to my wife very rudely about a job. He'd said he'd call her back Monday, so she called today, Wednesday, to check in. He responded vulgarly, asking if he hadn't already told her he'd call. I wish I could give zero stars. My wife wouldn't hand me my keys, or I'd have gone over there and defended her. His mother clearly didn't teach him respect.

Breakfast was really good and fresh every morning. The hostess was humble and said it was very nice. I had a wonderful experience at the Best Western, and I'd recommend everyone come see it.

Tom at the front desk is super friendly and great at customer service. Whatever you need, he helps you out and goes out of his way. The rooms and the rest of the place are a little dated, but clean and well kept. If you want somewhere inexpensive and no-frills to get some rest, this is a great option.
