Alma De Sedona Inn

The Inn’s layout and landscaping helped keep things peaceful, away from busy streets. Our room had plenty of space to relax, either indoors or outside on the covered patio, with some privacy from the plantings. The location worked well for us, between shuttle areas for popular hikes and an easy drive to restaurants, coffee shops, gas stations, and grocery stores. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, the service was spectacular, and our host was gracious and welcoming. The afternoon cookies in the dining area were the best, too. Quiet beauty and serenity really capture the heart and “soul” of Alma de Sedona Inn.

We only stayed two nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The room was comfortable, with a lovely fireplace, a well-equipped bathroom, and super comfortable robes. They accommodated our vegan diet, and both breakfasts were very nice. We’d definitely stay here again!

The exterior grounds were nice and the staff were friendly, but the room was disgusting. At $341 a night, it was awful. The bathroom was badly neglected, smelled bad, and had hair everywhere. The AC was extremely loud, grout was falling apart, and the old mattress sagged. That’s only some of it. We didn’t stay the second night. The binder claimed each room got two hours of sanitation and promised luxury, but that wasn’t accurate. The room looked as if it hadn’t been updated in 20 years. In more than 40 years, this is the worst room I’ve stayed in, and it ruined what was supposed to be a romantic trip. The Dr who owns the place should be embarrassed, or simply doesn’t care. All pictures are from Oct 2025. In the reply, Inn Keeper -April- took no responsibility for the room’s condition and basically blamed us. Her questioning the “validity of your review” felt highly insulting and disrespectful to me as a military member. This room should never have been rented.

The location near some trails was the only good thing. Otherwise, this place was a dump. The website pictures are misleading, and the rooms badly need renovation. The carpet was disgusting, the bed and furniture looked 30 years old, and the heater woke me every time it clicked on. I was disappointed in everything about this place. I’d recommend choosing somewhere else.
