Courtyard Sedona Mariott

The neighbors were quite noisy in our room, maybe because the walls aren't very soundproof. The hotel's atmosphere and service were wonderful, and its amenities and services were excellent. It's also a perfect location for planning and enjoying a Sedona trip, though our room wasn't ideal.

Nick at the front desk was patient and helpful, and the morning bistro staff were pleasant. The service was excellent and the price felt about right for what we got. Our room faced the parking lot, so we did hear some street noise. That's expected, but something to keep in mind if you want a quieter stay. The hotel is near gas stations, grocery stores, and places to eat.

My AirPods and jacket never made it back to me, and the way the hotel handled it was deeply disappointing. I checked in on May 15 and left the next day. Once I realized I'd left both items in the room closet, I called the front desk right away to ask them to check whether anyone had found them. They didn't offer much help, just told me to file a form on iLostMyStuff.com and wait. I called again on May 18, and got the same instruction. By May 20, I still hadn't received an update or any meaningful assistance. Apple Find My showed my AirPods at the hotel at first, but then showed them somewhere near Sedona, outside the hotel. The staff's passive, careless response has directly contributed to my not getting my belongings back. I trusted Marriott as a reputable hotel brand, but this has made me question that trust. As a Marriott customer and credit card holder, I expected proper support and protection in a situation like this. If you leave something behind at this hotel, IT WILL ONLY BE STOLEN! Don't expect to get it back!

The location worked well for us, on the outskirts of town about 10 minutes from Sedona's main drag and 15-20 minutes from Cottonwood, where there's a Walmart, Home Depot, and other stores. The property was well maintained, with a large, bright lobby, plus a busy bar and bistro. But our stay was only okay for the price, and we'd choose somewhere else next time. Parking alone was $25 a night. We've stayed here before, and this time felt very different. We asked for a high floor but got a room on the first floor at the end of the hall, beside the elevator and entrance, with no view. The staff didn't seem to care. The walls felt like parchment, and sound carried. We could hear two ton Tina and her 12 kids upstairs stomping late at night and early in the morning. The room was very dark, with little light inside or outside. It had a small microwave and a mini mini fridge. There was no bathroom fan, though the shower got hot and had great pressure.
