Three Rivers Inn

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and the room was filthy. My white socks turned brown, so I threw them out. Every towel and washcloth was stained, and debris fell out when I opened a towel. The bathroom light fixture was missing its cover. The coffee maker worked, but the coffee tasted musty. There were three smoke detectors above the bed, which made me paranoid that one might have a camera in it. The night clerk was smoking pot with a friend parked in the handicapped spot I needed outside my room. This place needs a health inspector.

The quiet location and very nice staff were the only good parts. Our original queen room smelled of smoke, the doors didn't close securely, and there was hair throughout the bathroom and along the baseboards. The sheets had brown stains all over them, and the towels had brown marks too. Management moved us to a king room, but that wasn't clean either: flakes were all over the bed and the sink was filthy.

Lucky Teriaki next door was good, especially the meat rather than the chicken. Double Barrel Bbq down the road had good food and a relaxed atmosphere; the double patty burger was huge at $23. This is definitely a work-trip kind of hotel. Everything was heavily used and cheaply repaired, which is fine, but some things need attention. Clean out the toilet paper cubby, I don't want to see what looks like DNA from the mid-70s when I'm on the toilet. Fix the fan and the toilet, which takes half an hour to refill. The deal breaker was the towels. Two people got two new towels each night, but on the third night mine looked like my fourth-grade tighty-whities. Nobody wants to get out of the shower and have to figure out which side of the last towel is cleaner. Washed streaks are still streaks.

There was no Wi-Fi, blood on the toilet paper, and used amenities hadn't been replaced. Mold and hair were around the tub and toilet, and the toilet had visible yellow stains. The balcony door was broken and wouldn't lock, the plugs were loose and wouldn't charge anything, and the front door had been kicked in and didn't close properly. Would NOT recommend.
