Sherrel really went out of her way to make sure we were looked after, and the whole staff was so kind. Shanika greeted us with a smile and a warm breakfast each morning. The front desk was friendly too, and even pointed us toward the area's top barbecue spot. Hancocks was amazing! Our room was spotless, and we had a great stay. We'll definitely be back, 10/10.
I stopped in Selma AL because I'd run out of driving time, and I'm glad I did. Check-in was smooth, and breakfast was what really made this Holiday Inn Express different from the others. The food looked better, tasted better, and was cooked right. Even the orange juice was the freshest I'd had in a while. Thanks to Selma AL for putting in that extra care. And a shout out to Shanika at the breakfast bar today!
The room seemed recently refreshed, with new furniture, carpet, and paint. Its bathroom showed a little more wear, though it was still OK. We found the room quiet and clean, the staff pleasant, and breakfast very good. A good choice in Selma, and we'd stay again.
Breakfast was hot, fresh, and plentiful, and Marquisha gave courteous, attentive service. I left pleased and hope the location keeps going in this direction. Compared with my visits over the last couple of years, this stay felt cleaner and clearly benefited from the renovation. The hotel had a pleasant smell, and I didn't see the old problems like chipped paint, rotting or water-warped baseboards, ladybugs on the walls, or stained bedding.
Shantel, who prepared our room, was friendly and went out of her way to make the stay enjoyable. Our room was exceptionally clean, and the manager and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We spent three days at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Selma , Al in Nov. 2025, and I'd highly recommend it. Please tell Shuntel hi. She's extremely special.
