Wingate By Wyndham Seminole

It used to be a really nice hotel, but it badly needs an update. The room needed paint, the furniture was getting threadbare, and the same elevator was out of service.

We waited half an hour for toilet paper, then I went looking for housekeeping myself. It took another two hours before she brought it. The front desk was rude, and the hotel felt hot everywhere. Our rooms were dirty and smelled horrible. There was blood on the mattresses, pillows, and sheets. In front of 214 on the second floor, you can feel that part of the floor is broken. Only one elevator worked. Even with the group discount, it wasn't worth $70.

Breakfast was a mixed bag. The eggs were good, the bacon was like a tire and not good at all, and most of the potatoes tasted like garlic. The rest of the day's breakfast was the same. I don't need breakfast, but there is room for improvement. The room itself was clean and the bed was soft, but it was just a room. On arrival, I got a key card without being told where the elevators were. In the room, the light switch had a short, and you could hear it when switching it on or off. The phone didn't work, so I went down to the desk and had to wait because only one elevator was operating. The young lady acted like it wasn't a big deal. I work as a firefighter and first responder, and having no way to contact the outside is a big deal. They moved me to another room. She said lots of rooms had phones that didn't work, that it had been addressed, and they were waiting for repairs. Again, wow. I don't think I'd stay there again unless there were no other places.

The coffee and breakfast were the one bright spot, and the breakfast staff was nice. Everything else was disappointing. The photos make the hotel look nice, but the smell was awful throughout, and the elevator was incredibly slow and sounded like it was about to break. The rooms were disgusting, with hair on the pillows and in the shower, and the staff were rude. Please don't stay there. I'll never travel that way again.
