The room was okay, but the stay felt like the hotel was on its way to closing. The restaurant was the main reason I booked, yet we were told at check-in it was shut. Over two nights, we found anyone working at the front desk only twice, and no one was there when we checked out, so we left the keys in the desk box. There was no ice machine; we had to ask the front desk, when we could find someone. Housekeeping only came if requested, so we reused the two towels provided for both nights. We also had to ask for more shampoo and conditioner after getting just one tiny sample of each for two people. The shower was oddly designed, with only half enclosed, so water got onto the floor and the heat and steam escaped. The elevator door was scratched and carved with initials, and the continental breakfast sat out unattended for hours. It's a shame, because the hotel is quaint and the town is cute, but it needs upgrades and more staff. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We stayed two nights, and my dog enjoyed it too. The hotel is dog friendly, and I'd gladly stay again. It's right downtown, with a big free lot behind it and everything within walking distance. The Seneca River is right there, with a pretty riverside walk at night. Our room was large and clean, with a fridge, Keurig, microwave, and a massive bathroom. The shower had great pressure and nice hot water. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant weren't open during our visit, and I didn't try breakfast, though the coffee and tea were great. There's a nice gym too. Hope they can reopen the restaurant soon.

It's good value for the price, and the rooms were clean with a freshly renovated bathroom. The limited staff seemed like good people doing what they could. Still, the hotel is dated and showing its age, and the bar and restaurant inside are closed. They also messed up our reservation, leaving us with a single bed instead of two queens. I probably wouldn't come back.

For lodging right in the heart of this quaint town, it worked well for my work trip. It has more character and charm than a big chain, and I was pleasantly surprised by what a small town place offered. I travel a lot and am picky about showers; the pressure, spray, and enclosure were above average, better than many chain hotels costing under twice as much, though the bathroom isn't luxurious. The hotel was quiet, the heat worked, and I had no musty smell, dirt, staff issues, or other concerns. There's a hot breakfast, but no microwave or fridge included. If you're expecting a $300-a-night experience for much less, this won't be it. If you want a good night's rest in town, it's a solid option.

I liked that the rooms didn't feel like those of every big chain in every city. Staying here was fun, and the historic, walkable street made it easy to get out and explore. There are some great local restaurants that help support businesses keeping that nostalgic feel. The staff were lovely, and my room was immaculate and simple, with a nice little detail: natural light through the frosted washroom window. The tiled floor took me back, and the towels were fluffy. A real treat to spend a few nights in a historic building right on Falls Street in Seneca Falls.
