Suburban Studios Syracuse Fairgrounds

Steve at the front desk was patient, professional, and genuinely tried to help during a stressful late-night mix-up. He explained our options and was kind throughout, which deserves recognition. The reason for the low rating is that the rooms had serious cleanliness problems. We arrived late after a long drive for a one-night stay booked through Chase Travel. The bathroom in our first room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, so we asked for another. The second room looked better at first, but closer inspection of the sheets showed obvious oily-looking stains. We were uncomfortable staying and ready to cancel and find another hotel, but sorting that out was complicated because we had booked through a third party.

What keeps me coming back is the staff. They remember me and my preferences, and they’re always gracious. I’ve stayed here several times over the past couple of years when I’m in the area. The hotel is older, but it’s well maintained, clean, and smells wonderful. Breakfast has great choices, and there’s a large conference room downstairs that my group often uses. The heating and air conditioning are great too.

The hospitality and service were much appreciated. The rooms are nice, especially one with a mountain view. I’ll come back anytime I’m in Utah.

My kids and I are truly grateful to the staff at suburban Studios. We were a displaced family of three and stayed there for almost four months. The people at the front desk were really nice, the service was good, and breakfast was fantastic. The rooms weren’t too bad. I’d recommend staying there if you’re not after anything fancy.
