Hampton Inn & Suites Seneca-Clemson Area

A cockroach crawling across the bathroom floor was the final straw. Before that, the shower floor was cracked, the microwave only worked after pressing stop instead of start, the furniture was in poor shape, and there was a big hole in the middle of the carpet. After this stay, I don't think we'll ever book another Hampton Inn.

The room size was good for the price, and the rooms were reasonably clean. We had to leave the first room because it smelled like dog urine, but the front desk moved us quickly. There are some small repairs needed. In the first room, opening the fridge door moved the whole fridge because it wasn't secured. In our replacement room, the toilet handle doesn't sit right, so we have to jiggle it to stop the water from running.

I don't recommend this place. The Wi-Fi was so awful that I lost sleep trying to figure out why my computer was slow. My phone hotspot worked better, which never happens. There were crumbs in the bed, including what looked like a cookie down at the foot under the sheets. My kid hadn't put them there; she'd had chicken tenders and fries. I was tired and in a rush getting her ready for bed, so I didn't notice the scum in the tub until later. I should've asked for another room when I had to wash hair out of the tub before she could bathe, but I was exhausted and still had a lot of work to do.

I usually choose Hampton Inn when I travel, so I was very disappointed by the room and service here. The shower wouldn't drain, leaving me standing in water, and the water never got hot. The room wasn't clean to the usual Hampton Inn standard, either. There was no soap, and the front desk refused to bring soap or extra towels. I had to stay for the location, but the price was far too high that night. I regret booking here and won't return.
