The Heathman is nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We found the bed pretty comfortable, too. It's in a good spot, with easy access to most places. Just a heads-up that the bathrooms may feel too small if you're a larger person. They're a tight squeeze.

I've been using the space to study on weekends, and I like that the lobby stays open all the time. The staff have been phenomenal whenever I visit. The library is under construction at the moment, and I haven't stayed overnight yet, though I'm planning a getaway when I come for an event in December. The restaurant is lovely. I always buy something to eat while I'm there, partly to support the business. Grateful to have found this place.

Comfortable beds, friendly staff who were happy to help, and a great location. Being pet friendly is a huge plus!

The biggest surprise was how quiet the room stayed. The double pane windows shut out downtown noise completely, not a peep all stay. I also slept incredibly well on that mattress. I live in Eugene and have since 1999, so when I come back to Portland I usually pick a different hotel. This is the first time in 26 years I've thought about returning to the same one. For what you get, it's reasonably priced. Best hotel I've stayed at in Portland, no cap. I've been to every other boutique hotel on the Westside and many on the Eastside, though not The Benson, Mark Spencer, or The Nines. There's no real weakness or major fault here. 9.5/10. We had a King Studio Suite on the 5th Floor, and it was very nice. Two bathrooms came in handy, the mattress was extremely comfortable, and the minibar prices were very reasonable for 2025. The cozy, hip look felt right to me as someone raised in Portland. Staff were friendly and helpful, and when our suite was missing a French press, they brought one up in 10 minutes. The location is about as downtown as it gets, next door to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and close to Pioneer Courthouse Square. Take a look at the Library, too. Its signed collection from authors who've stayed there is impressive. The lobby chocolate shop has something for everyone, promise. The restaurant was good, with a decent menu and a nice space, though not amazing. We couldn't spot any restrictions on the complimentary drink tickets. The doormen did a great job all stay. Tip them if that's your thing.

Clean, classy, and comfortable, with a great central location, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, and a comfy bed. For the price, it's a GREAT value. The amenities fee feels a bit steep, though it's hard to avoid those fees. Putting it toward food makes it less annoying, especially since the food really is good. The attached chocolate shop is worth a look, too.
