The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. Restaurants are within walking distance, and the lobby coffee was good. The area around it was a little noisy.

The room was bright and lovely, with a comfortable bed, clean shower, and great pillows. Like other Quality Inns I've stayed at, it was a beautiful room. The letdown was breakfast, one of the Q's: apart from a waffle, everything was cold. It was all sugary with no protein, which I don't consider healthy.

We used to find this hotel convenient when visiting our son nearby, and our first stay went fine. This second visit was a nightmare, and we won't come back. Check-in and checkout were handled terribly. They demanded a $200 dog deposit even though I'd already secured the reservation with my credit card. I asked to pay by debit card, but they charged both cards. They later reversed the debit charge, which I hadn't wanted, but I let it go amid the confusion. The $200 pet deposit was eventually refunded, several days later. Then, two weeks afterward, they charged my credit card another $203 without telling me, claiming I'd been undercharged. On our last night, my husband also saw what looked like prostitution involving some linemen staying there and apparent prostitutes in rooms near ours. I absolutely don't recommend this place.

We were turned away during an ice storm, after my husband's workplace had booked several rooms for employees. He was excited to tell me it was a company-paid staycation, and I thought it might be a safer place if the power went out, perhaps with generators. That was our only concern. I only had the booking email, not the details. Check-in was easy, and the staff member was nice at first. I'd asked for two beds and a ground-floor room because we had kids, and she found one for us. While we were unpacking, she came to ask how many people were in the room. I said seven. She told me double rooms allow only four under the law. I accepted that and said we'd leave. My kids and mom carried everything back to the car while I went to check out. A woman I'd seen watching us from the second floor came in behind me. I had a feeling she'd been on the phone with the staff member, and I was right. She was rude and made it clear she resented that I hadn't greeted her properly. I think she was the owner and was power tripping. I told the staff member I needed to check out so the company would know my husband couldn't use the benefit, and another employee could have the room. She hadn't known that detail. Then she got an attitude and said it was company policy and my kids were a liability. The woman said the company would pay whether we checked in or not, but I still wanted to check out. She told the staff member to call the booking contact, then roughly smacked her shoulder and yelled, “9!!!” when she missed a number. The contact didn't answer, so she left a voicemail. She sounded professional on it, but didn't mention “liability”; she said too many people would be a fire hazard. I understood why we had to leave, but she offered no solution and was just rude. When she saw the line growing, she suddenly offered another room. I declined because I didn't want to be separated from my kids or make it look like we were taking advantage by getting two rooms. Then she mentioned a vacant room behind ours. I asked whether it was free or the company would pay, and she said, “Nooooo. You have to book it.” I said no. Why would I pay for a room after being treated like that? It would only reward her attitude. I later found a review from seven months earlier describing the same rudeness. Pride and rudeness get you nowhere. This place turned us away during an ice storm. Remember that, folks. And hey, it's “WE APOLOGIZE,” not “WE APOLOGIES.”

The hotel was quiet, and there are lots of businesses nearby. The price wasn't bad, and there was a nice place to sit by the pool even though it was closed. Our bathroom door wouldn't close all the way.
