Seven Springs Resort by Vail Resorts

We could walk right from our room patio to the lift lines, which was perfect for our long weekend of skiing. The room looked updated and was in pretty good shape, and we enjoyed the indoor pool and arcade, even though a couple of games were out of order. I was a little cautious because of the mixed reviews, but the stay surprised me in a good way. It's a large resort, and the signs can be confusing. There also aren't many food choices, and many places need reservations ahead of time. I'd stay again.

Everyone was so nice, and Mr Augustine helped me out with what I needed, including cups and getting to the pool. I'd love to come back.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, while dinner was mediocre and lunch was two stars at best. The place is beautiful and huge, and I think all that walking through the hallways probably helped me lose weight. I was only there briefly for a business trip, so I missed the golf, alpine slide, ski lift, bowling, and other activities. The spa was too pricey for me, even though I could really have used a relaxation massage. With more time and money, it could make a nice getaway with my husband or my son.

The bedrooms were clean and had enough space for eight adults and three small kids, and the rustic main room was nice. But we were disappointed with the worn, old furniture and the very dated bathrooms, where the sink and toilet had rust. The painted wooden shelf above the sink looked like it had been done years ago. The shower was gross. At $600 a night, I expected a better quality room. Even Motel 6 would have been better.
