We’ve stayed here every year for four years and love it. The waterpark keeps the kids busy, and the location is close to lots of things, including shopping in sevierville and pigeon forge, with gatlinburg an easy drive away. We came this time for my kids’ birthday, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year. The hotel and staff get five stars from us, though the people staying below us get zero. The guests downstairs made a noise complaint because my kids were being kids. My son is five and has a hard time not running, even when I remind him there are people below us. He has lots of energy, and the kids stay up somewhat late on vacation. After the complaint, I made them go to bed to stop the noise, and now I’m anxious about tonight and feel like I’ll have to make them sit still with their hands folded. I’d already been trying to get him to stop running, but it’s hard to keep little kids from moving and having fun. We heard the people above us all week and didn’t complain because it sounded like kids enjoying themselves, which comes with the stay. If that bothers you, try somewhere quiet without kids or ask for the top floor. I felt awful for my son. He hates doing anything wrong and felt bad, but still had trouble remembering to walk slowly.

We stayed in the Belle building at Wyndam, and the indoor walkway to the main building made it easy to reach the waterpark and arcade without going out into the cold and snow. We had fun every day. The wave pool was out of order for one day, but thankfully it was working again the next. We’ll make the trip back.

Be ready for lots of walking. We stayed for the weekend, and my child and I are both handicapped, but they put us a long way from the water park. The hotel was such a wall, and the hallways felt endless. The jacuzzi tub was tiny, too. I didn’t care for how nobody seemed to know the answers when I asked questions. On the phone I’d been told there were buffets, with kids at $5.99, but nobody could tell me where it was or how to get there. I’ve tried calling several times with another question and can’t get a local person on the phone.

The second room was in just as bad shape as the first, so the cleanliness and maintenance problems seemed to run throughout the property. The sheets and furniture were stained, surfaces were dirty, and there appeared to be blood on the curtains. They offered us a room change and a $50 gift card, but it did nothing to address the conditions. The first room was unacceptable too: a broken shower drain, damaged and filthy baseboards, heavy dust on the bathroom walls from a dirty ceiling vent, and a dusty ceiling fan. The carpet and furniture were stained, the shower doors had thick soap scum, the shower caulk was moldy, and several towels were stained and far past acceptable use. The entry and hallways were dirty and poorly maintained as well. As new Wyndham owners, we were shocked and embarrassed by this hotel’s condition. This was a serious failure of housekeeping and management, and alarming for a Wyndham property. Major improvements are needed. Completely unacceptable.

We had a great family vacation on the resort side of the property. There’s also a hotel side. Having indoor and outdoor water parks onsite, along with an arcade and food court, makes it a family-friendly place to stay.
