Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk

The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the service was excellent throughout my stay. I also liked the spacious two-story lounge on the upper floors and the pool terrace overlooking the riverfront. The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk is right on the Chicago River, with beautiful views of the river, Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. At night, the city lights reflecting on the water are especially impressive. Michigan Avenue is a short walk away, so exploring downtown was easy. The whole stay felt polished and comfortable.

Irish Mike’s warmth made us feel welcome from our first day, and his sense of humor had us laughing within minutes. He gave us great recommendations for places to visit and tips that led to some unexpected luck at the casino. He clearly knows the field well, and his confidence, professionalism and easy way of connecting with people stood out. You can tell he cares about guests and takes real pride in his job. We had an amazing trip, and it wouldn’t have been the same without his help. They’re lucky to have him as their doorman. He’s a true asset, and a big reason we can’t wait to come back.

Michael from valet took great care of my truck, and I loved the view from my clean room. The employees were friendly and helpful, the club food was delicious, and the hotel handled our conference very well. We had a conference at the Sheraton, and it was a great stay.

Nearly two months after my December stay, in February, the hotel put a mysterious $200+ charge on my account. I’d already received the final bill and paid for everything. The finance department said it was for parking, though nobody told me about a parking charge at check-in or checkout. The desk had simply given me a pass for my parking. I checked my documents and authorizations from the stay and found nothing for this amount. Charging me for parking out of nowhere two months later seems suspicious. I’ll be reporting the fraudulent charge, so be careful. The stay itself was nice. The rooms were a little outdated and short on amenities, but everything was very clean, which matters more to me than size or amenities. Staff were helpful and friendly. I appreciated the time there, and the location was stellar for a decent price.
