Days Inn by Wyndham Apple Valley Pigeon Forge/Sevierville

The accessible bathroom is huge, which was great for my 82-year-old dad. My family and I have stayed here before and enjoy coming back. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and smell clean. As a Wyndham Awards Member, I get great rates. Breakfast includes cereal, bagels, waffles, yogurt, juice, coffee, milk, fruit, and muffins.

The front desk woman was very nice, and the clean beds were comfortable. It’s a clean room for a good price in a great location. I’d definitely stay again.

It’s an affordable hotel, but dated and in need of some care. Our room had a stained, peeling tub and shower, no shower bar, a cracked sink with peeling surround, and a bed blanket with holes. The dresser holding the TV was broken, and the cable box was caked in something. The TV wasn’t working, though night manager Emily tried hard to help us fix it. Breakfast choices are limited, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Rooms are reached from outside, and the property has multiple floors with stairs and an elevator. Traffic near the hotel gets very busy and can make getting in and out difficult.

The check-in service at this Days Inn at Apple Valley was terrible. We first came around 12:30 to ask about checking in early. The desk clerk said our room wasn’t clean without asking our name, which was understandable given how early it was. But when I asked about early check-in, she said no, despite a sign saying it was available after 11 for $5 an hour. We returned at 2:30, and again she said the rooms weren’t clean and we couldn’t check in early, without asking my name. At 3, the official check-in time, she asked my name only to tell me the rooms still weren’t ready. We’d been in the parking lot since 2:30, with a clear view of the rooms, and hadn’t seen any cleaning crews. When I asked when they’d be ready, she rudely said, “Soon I guess.” I went back at 3:30 after seeing several families check in. Another person was finally at the desk and gave us our keys, saying the rooms were ready. There were no cups, and we found hair on the toilet seat and in the tub. I’m not impressed at all.
