I stay here every Thursday, and over time I’ve gotten to know the front desk staff. Ernest, Mr George, Madison, Barbie, and the mid night star Bobby are some of the nicest people I’ve met at a hotel desk. They’re always helpful and accommodating, and the rooms are up to date, clean, and stocked with plenty of towels and other linens. My company’s VP had stayed here for a long time and loved it, which is how I started coming each week. I also like that it’s locally owned and run by a Sevier county family with deep roots. They care about the business and about guests being comfortable. I can’t think of anything close to negative to say about this hotel.

We enjoyed our short stay. The place was beautiful, and the breakfast was amazing. I’d never seen a pancake maker before, that was neat.

The staff were kind and helpful, especially George. We stayed in a king room with a fireplace and had no issues. It was a very nice, clean, and quiet room. This was our first visit to Five Oaks, and we’ll be back.

We found the breakfast disappointing for a hotel in this price range. There wasn’t much variety, and most of the food was cold, as if it had been prepared the night before. The river-view rooms are a better choice, although the corridor can get quite cold in wet weather. The location of Econo Lodge in Pigeon Forge, TN is handy for nearby attractions, and the staff were nice and helpful. Our interior room was acceptable. The rooms facing the pool area are uncomfortable, with no fresh air, constant heat, and strong pool chemical smells. I’d choose a room on the outer side of the building and wouldn’t count on breakfast.
