The location is perfect, and the staff were very nice and did their best to accommodate us. There was just one maintenance worker, because an unfortunate family issue had taken the owners out of town. DeAnna was reachable by phone and was nice too. If you’re not looking for anything fancy, it may be worth considering. We stayed out of season, and our room was small, cold, smelled bad, and was a little dirty. The microwave didn’t work, the shower had no hot water, and there was no carpet. One walk across the room left our feet black. I stayed at the marina years ago and had a great experience, so I’m not saying it’s a bad motel. This particular stay just wasn’t good for us.

We all enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and adequate, with a fridge, and the reception, Diana, was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It’s a minimalist place, so there’s no gym or guest laundry, but that wasn’t an issue for us. There’s also a quaint 24-hour coffee room by the check-in lobby. The Seward Harbor area is a short walk away, and it’s a 20-minute drive to the Kenai Fjords Exit Glacier trailhead.

The host at check-in was terrific, and the room was clean and just okay. But we paid four times what it was worth. There was no hot water and no amenities, not even a cup for water. Nothing special for that price.

An older but nice motel, with friendly staff. It’s conveniently close to tour companies, restaurants, and other places.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and our clean room had a river view, a coffee pot, and blackout curtains. I just wish they had coffee in the lobby too.
