All our guests were happy with their rooms, and we were so glad we chose Governors Rock for our June 2025 wedding. We booked the whole motel, and the team put in so much work to get everything ready. They had wood waiting at the fire pit, set out yard games and a tent, and offered tables and chairs for eating outdoors. We’d absolutely come back.

We normally pick chain hotels, so booking this place for a weekend on a whim was a nice surprise. The room was beautiful and spotless, and the owner and staff were so friendly. It had the comforts you’d expect from a bigger hotel, with personal touches like welcome baskets in the room. One of the best places we’ve stayed. Can’t wait to return.

A friendly owner greeted us, walked us to our room, and suggested a nearby place for dinner. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, too. We stayed one night at this clean, cute motel, conveniently located between Bennington and Hildene. Glad we found it.

My wife, our big Golden Retriever, and I had a great time here. The room had plenty of space, plus a lovely private patio looking onto a well-kept lawn and landscaping. We all enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit. Everyone was quick to respond both before we arrived and while we were there. Our vacation was too short, but this was its highlight. I’ll be back again and again.
