The complimentary breakfast was the last straw: we found a worm in the food after nearly finishing our plates. There’s a photo. The chlorine smell was also very strong even before we were inside the hotel. I work with pools and aquatic systems, and that kind of smell can mean the chlorine is reacting with contamination in the water. We had booked a room for a small birthday pool party. When we arrived yesterday, we checked the room carefully so we wouldn’t be charged for damage that was already there. It wasn’t in good shape, so I showed the pictures to the front desk attendants and asked if the damage was on file. They had no record of it, even though we’d contacted them a week ahead about the party. That was a major red flag. The entrance is shared with Culver’s, too. Would I recommend this place? No, I wouldn’t believe it existed if I hadn’t seen it. Take your kids to a community center or a larger pool with staff who are helpful and care.

The kids had fun in the pool, and breakfast had a nice selection. The room’s drains were slow, though, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. It was also disappointing that drinks weren’t allowed in the pool area while we watched the kids.

The pool was nice, but there were never towels stocked there. And at checkout, the site offered several tipping choices, which felt like a joke. The room itself was the filthiest hotel room I’ve ever seen. There was hair and crumbs under the comforter, debris across the floor, and something on every surface.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, always checking that we had what we needed. The pool and slide were a lot of fun, especially for families, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. I had a wonderful stay and would come back.
