Best Western Plus Shamrock Inn & Suites

Breakfast was good, with fresh eggs made for you and waffles you could cook yourself. The room was fairly clean, though there was a little mold on the baseboards and the faucets didn't seem clean, maybe they need replacing. One side of the bed was worn out, and the AC/heater fan rattled a bit.

We needed a place on short notice where my grandfather could rest while my mother and I moved him to California for healthcare. I called this Best Western on a whim, and they quickly arranged a room with a handicap shower. The front desk woman was wonderful and helped us save money with the military discount because my grandfather is a Veteran. The night clerk on 2/15/26 was a saint and deserves a raise. Five stars for making everything easy and our stay so nice.

Loved the breakfast, and there's an amazing little restaurant right next door. The hotel also has a pool and fitness center, and the rooms are large, clean, and well appointed. Definitely recommend this gem.

The staff were nice and breakfast was decent, but what we found in the room was very concerning. We arrived super late with three small kids and noticed little black flakes on the bed by the AC unit. We brushed them off and went to sleep. The AC wouldn't work overnight, so we turned on the fan. In the morning we saw that the unit was covered in thick, furry black mold, not just a little spot in a corner. Our whole family felt sick after that fan blew on us and our kids all night. The room also had dog hair everywhere, though we don't have a dog. We didn't notice either problem until morning because we checked in so late. When we told the front desk, someone came to look. The maid saw us examining the AC and said, “that one doesn’t work, no hot no cold.” Then she noticed the mold, stopped, said “oh that’s bad, bad bad, no good,” and walked out. The front desk said they couldn't do anything and gave us an email address. It's been days with no reply, which is a big surprise. We have pictures. Stay at your own risk.
