After a full day of driving, we stopped for the night and found a spacious, clean king room with hardwood floors and no rugs. Breakfast was a little bland, but fine. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were friendly and courteous.

The shower water was wonderfully hot, and I liked the LVP flooring in our room. I’m not sure whether all floors have it or just the first floor. It’s pet-friendly, and although it’s off the freeway, we didn’t hear traffic. Maybe it was a quiet night, or maybe our room facing the parking lot helped. We had a trailer and could park inside the lot because we were the only ones with one. If several trailers were there, you might have to park outside the lot, though still nearby. The room wasn’t perfect or spotless, but the beds, toilet, shower, and sink were clean. Bring your own soap or body wash: the bar soap leaves a film, and the shampoo and conditioner bottles are tiny. Basic, but fine for a night or two.

The service was good, and the breakfast was average but decent. The front desk gentleman was kind, and the breakfast staff kept things moving. I also liked how close the hotel is to the highway. The rooms are very old and dingy, though they are clean on the surface. They really need updating. The furniture is stained, there’s black caulk and hard water buildup in the shower, and the beds feel barely better than cardboard, even with the one-inch topper.

Elson at the front desk made sure we had what we needed, and it was a pleasure to see how calmly and respectfully he dealt with another guest who was rude and surly. From our first call before check-in through checkout, we felt well cared for and comfortable. The bed was excellent and the bath nice and hot. We’ll stay again when we pass through or visit Shamrock.

Quiet, close to the interstate, and a good deal for the price. The rooms were clean and didn’t smell, with nice showers and a mini fridge and microwave in each one. Breakfast was the real thing, not just muffins and oranges. Service was friendly too. I usually leave joke reviews, but this place deserves real praise.
