Bryce Pioneer Village

For the price, this was great value compared with stays around other Utah parks. It’s a serviceable motel about 20 minutes outside Bryce Canyon NP, and the service was very nice. The rooms are separate little cabins with tiny bathrooms. You park right by your room, and each cabin has a backyard area with a semi-private fire pit and hammock. There are also apparently RV hookups. We liked the pool and hot tub, plus the laundry and a great, possibly new, gym.

My only little suggestion would be to put four pillows on the bed instead of three. Otherwise we had a great stay, and would love to return. The staff were friendly, the cabins were clean and cozy, and the property was nicely maintained. There’s a great restaurant on site, and coffee in the office from 7am-11am.

The sound carries badly between the cabins. I could hear my neighbors as if they were right next to me, so better soundproofing is needed. That kept this from being a five-star stay. We paid about $150 a night for two nights, and I’d still recommend it, around four stars in my opinion. The front desk was friendly, and there was a pool, jacuzzi, lounge area, plus an on-site restaurant open 5:30pm-9:30pm. The food there was great too, about four stars. I do wish the restaurant opened for breakfast and offered karaoke or a DJ night.

We stayed in a separate building and found it quiet, with enough room for three people. The on-site restaurant had a nice atmosphere and live music, and the Hoodoo beer is worth recommending. Free coffee all day in reception was a nice extra. A good place near Bryce Canyon, and I’d stay again.
