SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Mesquite

The location is convenient, but the cleanliness was unacceptable. Stains marked the walls, floors, and bedding, and one wall had red marks plus what looked like dried brown splatter. The hotel smelled musty, like mold mixed with a public pool bathroom, and the air conditioning just spread that odor around. I saw roaches throughout the property and signs of mice in the room. Even sealed food didn’t seem safe. I brought snacks because I can’t eat gluten or wheat, and pests got into them. That was the last straw. Breakfast was only dry cereal and waffles. This place feels infested and poorly maintained. I’d never recommend staying here.

The breakfast was advertised as a buffet, but we got stale cereal and toast. That was misleading and not a buffet by any reasonable standard. We also went three days without room service. I told the front desk more than once and specifically asked for clean towels and housekeeping, but nothing happened. It felt like our requests were ignored. With the lack of basic service and inaccurate amenity claims, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. They need to improve both their service and their advertising.

For a Best Western, this was pretty disappointing. There were roaches in the stairwell, and I found one in my room. The room smelled of old carpet and couch, and it clearly hadn’t had a deep clean in a long time. Breakfast was cereal and waffles, with no fruit or yogurt, so it wasn’t the full breakfast the website describes.

The hotel is clean and the customer service is great. Whenever I come to Dallas, this is where I’ll stay.
