We booked through Expedia but walked out in under five minutes. The room was filthy, with cigarette ashes all over, hair in the sink and shower, stains, and a terrible smell. The online photos don't match what we saw. We paid a cancellation fee just to avoid staying. The owner said we should have booked a fancier hotel if we wanted a better room. Then, while taking payment, he used an old-style machine to make an imprint of my credit card. I pointed out that he had a card machine and didn't need to do that, but he insisted on keeping a copy. I said I wasn't leaving until he returned the imprint. He finally tore it up and threw the pieces at me. I took them and destroyed them too. I wasn't about to leave my information with some hack running a meth motel.

Neither of our two rooms had a working kitchenette. The faucet had no running water, the refrigerator was rusty inside, and the microwave lit up but didn't work. There was half-used toilet paper on the toilet tank that looked like it had feces on it, plus used soap and shampoo in the shower. The mattresses seemed straight out of the 1960s, with old toppers and springs you could feel. The rooms only warmed up when it was time to leave. Completely disgusting.

These rooms are seedy and way overpriced. The mattresses felt like cardboard, and the bathrooms are so small you can barely turn around. Some have red lights, which makes you wonder if you're in a brothel. Even a microwave and tiny fridge, things that should come with the room, cost $15 each per night. Watch out for the owner, who lives above the office. He asks questions to figure out what you can afford before naming a price. If all you need is a cheap place to sleep, pay cash and name your price. He may take it if he thinks you'll leave.

I paid $78, found hair in the bathroom and dirt still on the floor, like nobody had swept or the sweeper was broken, and went straight back out for a refund without touching anything. They promised a full refund, but I still haven't received it. The place is very outdated. It's a shame, since there are so few options in this area and it could be a good thing.
