We’ll be back, and I’d recommend the Grand Harbor Inn if you want somewhere quaint, quiet, and accommodating, with an especially good location. It’s a small hotel rather than a big chain, and parking is right by the door. We carried our own luggage upstairs, though the elevator worked fine. For our special birthday trip, we had a large suite and a spacious porch for coffee or reading. The inn sits right on Camden’s harbor, within easy walking distance of shops, harbor cruises, restaurants, and the candy shop and ice cream place at the top of the short street. We started mornings with a waterfront walk with our dogs, then coffee on the porch. The kindness of local people made that even nicer, and a lobby sign welcomed our dogs by name. The room and bed were quiet and comfortable, the staff were helpful, and breakfast was delivered to our door on time each morning. It was a unique hotel and made the trip feel even more special.

My dog Rocky and I had a great time, and I wish we’d stayed more than one night. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was clean, and they had bowls, a bed, and poop bags ready for dogs. Breakfast was delicious. After I left, I had a question about the bill and got a quick explanation. Do yourself a favor and book the waterfront room. Thanks for a great stay!

The views of Penobscot Bay were gorgeous, and the coastal town gave us a lovely mix of relaxing and having things to do. We had friendly staff, tasteful rooms, and delicious breakfast both mornings. I was looking for a quiet, luxurious weekend, and the Grand Harbor Inn delivered. Don’t miss the homemade lobby cookies or the handwritten card left in the room each day. Those thoughtful touches made the place stand out.

We spent a week at The Grand Harbor Inn and couldn’t have been happier with our choice of Camden. We’d been to Maine before but never north of Portland, and found Camden quaint and well placed for visiting Acadia and nearby towns. The inn is right on the harbor, and though our suite was set back a little, we still had a beautiful view. The room was comfortable, spacious, clean, and very well appointed. Staff were kind and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious, with several choices brought to our room at the time we picked. Great restaurants and cute shops are an easy walk away. We highly recommend it.

We loved our three nights in the Waterview Grand Suite. It had a beautiful harbor view, a double-sided fireplace, whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, and comfortable bed and furniture. The location was terrific, and breakfast each morning exceeded our expectations. Housekeeping and staff were wonderful.
