The room was filthy, and the weekend noise from the nightclub right next door came through the thin walls and made it hard to sleep. There were piles of dead roaches and a few live ones in the kitchen cabinets. The bedding was dirty, the walls and kitchen counters were yellowed, the fridge was dirty, and the stovetop had old food crumbs and what looked like pasta splatter. There were stains or spots in the bathroom sink, plus hair on the toilet and in the tub. The whole room smelled odd. It's a seedy place all around. The one perk is the very convenient short walk to a convention center. The front desk staff were friendly enough, but the hotel itself is absolutely disgusting and needs to be closed down. The person I spoke to by phone at Red Roof Inn corporate said the company had just purchased that location and at one point turned it into a Hometowne Studios. I'm assuming they did that sight unseen because they weren't aware of the condition. My boyfriend and I have already received a refund, and the matter is settled. We don't need to be contacted. I just wanted to update the reviews so people know the negative ones are all true. This won't make me stay there again.

For the price, it was okay, though the area seemed a bit shady. The staff were helpful, but we didn't interact with them much. Our beds were clean and nice, and the bathroom was usable, if not especially clean. The room itself wasn't great. The floor was dirty, and cockroaches and other nasty bugs came through the gap under the door. The TV was really old. On the plus side, there was a full-size refrigerator, though it was old, plus a microwave, a two-coil stove, and plenty of storage, although there may be bugs in there.

The stale cigarette smell in the room was so bad I still can't get it out of my CPAP, even after replacing all the parts. There were dead roaches on the floor, no toilet paper, trash left by the previous guest, makeup on the sink, and a filthy floor. We kept our shoes on and bought our own blankets. After I cleaned the room with their white towels, they came away black. There's no one to complain to after 7 or on Sunday because the office is closed. I don't expect top-of-the-line accommodations for the price, but I do expect a clean room without health hazards. Worst hotel ever. I've reported them to the health department.

The room was dirty and full of roaches. I scrubbed the floors four times and they still weren't clean, and I sprayed the room for bugs every day. The neighbors left their trash outside the door for five days before anyone picked it up. A few nights when I got home from work, my keys wouldn't work. Thank goodness I only had to stay one week while my home was repaired.
