Baymont by Wyndham Shawnee

We slept incredibly well. The beds were just right, and we found the breakfast tasty with plenty to eat, even if it could have been less McDonald's-ish. The bathtub shower didn't work, though, and there wasn't much on TV. We were too tired for the limited channels to matter. We didn't really have another choice, and this hotel gave us the best price for near-maximum comfort. Thanks for a comfortable night, Baymont if Shawnee.

The outside of the hotel wasn't much to look at, but the location was convenient and our room was dark, quiet, clean, and just the right temperature. I got a great night's sleep. Breakfast was okay: homemade waffles, mandarins, and a banana. The coffee was awful, there was no tea, the trash was full, and crumbs were left on the floor. I'm not sure who was meant to look after that area. The day before, we paid more for a nicer-looking hotel, but it was hot and noisy and we slept badly, even though its breakfast was better. It really depends what matters most to you.

The clerk treated us really well, but the first room had a cockroach on the desk and a cricket in the toilet. In our second room, the toilet had a small issue that I fixed easily. This motel needs to be fumigated.

We'll stay here again when we're in Shawnee, OK. The price was very affordable, and the room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a clean shower with great water pressure. The hotel is on the smaller side, and both the person at check-in, even though it was late, and the one at checkout were friendly and polite.
