Justin was cheerful and accommodating, and made us feel welcome. The first room smelled strongly of construction, but they moved us after that night to a quiet, updated room for the remaining three nights. There was still a mess on the hall carpet. It looked like they were replacing the flooring, while the older tub and shower were clean and fine for a short soak. The videos I attached show the first room by the work area, not the better one we moved into. I also didn't realize the chain was called “Americ…Inn,” with the c pronounced like “city,” rather than Americinn. For an inexpensive hotel, the room was comfortable, with a good mattress, pillows, linens, and furniture. It had a small fridge, microwave, and hair dryer, and everything in the room was extremely clean. The extreme cold did leave a heavy frost on the aluminum window frames, which are single pane, but given the very low price, I would stay again. Breakfast was basic but fine: fresh apples, bananas, and oranges, small yogurt cups, instant oatmeal, Jif peanut butter, a waffle maker, and hot eggs, meat, and potatoes. Everything was clean. There’s an ice machine and fresh cookies in the evening. We didn’t use the pool or go to happy hour, and there’s no hot tub.

Breakfast was advertised until 10, but by 8:20 the hot food was gone and it was never replenished. The pool area photos show a hot tub, though it was covered over with a table on top. The rooms are quite dated, and the bed was so hard that we would have slept on the pullout couch if there had been blankets for it.

We only lasted four hours and left without staying the night. We came from out of town for our anniversary, hoping to swim, but the pool was too cold. The pool table was out of order, and the hot tub had been cemented over. Our first room smelled really bad, though they did switch us to one that didn’t. At checkout, the staff didn’t seem to care that we were leaving unhappy. If we’d received a full or even partial refund, I wouldn’t be as upset. Terrible for four hours.

A decent place to sleep, though I’d probably forget it soon after. The room was clean, the mattress was good, and there was plenty of hot water. Pillows were weak, the sheets were thin, and there wasn’t a blanket. Breakfast’s main selling point was that it was available. There’s a pool, but I didn’t see it. Pretty much what you’d expect at this price.
