We stayed two nights and had a great visit. Our room was very comfortable, though the bathroom was a little small. The woman who checked us in was friendly. We reported that the room lock was broken that morning, and it had been fixed by the time we got back that evening. Great service.

We stayed for one night in November 2021 and had no problems. The room and bathroom were clean, and we didn't find bedbugs or bring any pests home. I'd just read older reviews about problems, from two to four years earlier, and wondered if those issues had been addressed. Maybe we were lucky, or maybe they were. The owner was polite and let us park right outside our room since the place was fully booked. The bed was clean but very firm, and we slept uncomfortably for a few hours because we're used to a memory foam mattress at home. The room was expensive, as others have said. Honestly, after reading those reviews, we might have carried on home to New Hampshire.

The place was quiet and clean, the owner was nice and reasonable, and the price and location were good. I researched options and thought this was the best all-around hotel in Burlington during peak foliage season. The neighbors were reasonable, party poppers had been screened out, and I slept really well. It was warm and cozy in the morning, with adequate heat. I always pack earplugs and might bring melatonin, plus thermal pants in case other places don't keep the heat on all the time. If you're thinking of giving melatonin to a child, check the dosage with a pharmacist or doctor first. The first night in a new place can be rough because part of your brain stays alert for danger. Earplugs can help with noise. Try not to blame your family for a bad first day when you haven't slept well. It may help to plan an extra day so you can adjust to your usual first-night sleep trouble and aren't worn out for your vacation.

The room itself was fine, but the manager was awful. There had been a domestic fight in the hallway that morning. Later, while he was cleaning a room, I asked if he could keep the noise down. He told me, “I’ll call the police. I can be loud. It’s not 12 at night. If you don’t like it then leave and I’ll cancel the reservation.” So I left. No one had been yelling, and the way he handled it was completely unprofessional. I won't stay here again.

We were a week into our bicycle tour plans when I wrote this, and my stomach was still in knots. My wife and I, traveling with another couple, had booked two rooms at the G.G.T. Tibet five months earlier. It was conveniently located for the tour operators to pick up all our luggage the next morning. The owner cancelled while we were midflight to Burlington, claiming a credit card problem. I called during our layover, worried we'd struggle to find a last-minute room at such a busy time. We explained that we still needed the room and offered to give the card number again. The person who answered was abrupt and belligerent, accused us of trying to rip him off, and said we could only book again online, for more than twice the price. Our friends had called to switch their room from a king to two double beds, but the owner said there were no other rooms and they couldn't change. I booked online because we had few options, and the only room available was a two-double-bed room. He was clearly lying to our friends. When we arrived, my friend and I were organizing our things outside while our wives tried to check in. I'm a retired schoolteacher, and the other woman is blind and uses a cane. We're parents and grandparents aged 53 to 63, and tandem bicycle riders, not party hooligans. The owner said he'd cancelled our reservation again, even though the card was valid. Asked why, he launched into a furious monologue, swore at us, falsely accused us of taking advantage of people, and said he feared we'd damage his property. He screamed at us to leave, then followed us out still yelling. We were stunned and needed days to process it. Our bikes were still packed in cases, so we had to walk several blocks to the only other room we could find, dragging all our luggage while my wife followed with her cane.
