We always enjoy staying here when we’re traveling through Iowa, and the pool and breakfast are both fantastic. The staff is consistently friendly. This time Brianna was at the front desk. She stayed calm and helpful even though the hotel seemed busy, and she’d also been great when she took our reservation by phone. My family and I will keep making a point of stopping here.

My room at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sheldon was quiet and comfortable, with a great bed and everything working as it should. The hotel was clean, modern, and well kept, and the staff were helpful and friendly from check-in through checkout. Breakfast had a good selection and was fresh and well stocked, a nice way to start the day. I had a great stay and would come back. If you’re passing through Sheldon and want a comfortable, dependable place, I’d recommend it.

I’m not coming back. The bathroom had mold, there was a gorilla in the shower, and the bed was unmade and stained. I asked for a different bed, but couldn’t get one, so I left, got a refund, and stayed at the place next door, which was much better. The pool itself was fine, but there wasn’t a lifeguard. Someone was looking at their phone, and my son was told to get out because he wasn’t 12 or older. I thought that was really dumb, since we have our own hot tub at home. The water was also very hot and chlorinated, and my eyes felt like they were burning when we left the pool room.

The staff made our stay. Everyone, from housekeeping to the kitchen and front desk, was so friendly and took hospitality to the next level. The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and the pool and hot tub were large. Rose and Jordan especially stood out. Sheldon has an amazing team.
