Spyglass Inn

The coastal path above the beach was a highlight. It connects with the neighboring properties and eventually leads to stairs down to the beach, with pretty scenery all along the coast. We were traveling up the One, and this inn made for a good stop. A car show in Pismo Beach made it miserable getting through town, though it was much easier just north of there, where the inn is. Our stay was very good, with spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. Without an ocean view room, you look out onto the courtyard and pool. A few things could be better: the internet was especially slow, the ductless HVAC unit caused a lot of light in the room, and parts of the shower and toilet area looked aged. None of that detracted from our stay.

The balcony was lovely even in February. We sat outside with the ocean breeze and the sound of waves crashing. Our room had a fireplace and was very nice. Since the rooms are right by the water, the setting is beautiful. I’d suggest asking for the top floor, though. The ceiling doesn’t block sounds or movement well, so an early riser above you may get you up too.

Waking up to the ocean from the balcony and listening to the waves was so peaceful. I had a relaxing, refreshing stay at The Spyglass and would come back. The room was quiet and spacious, with a thoughtful layout and comfortable touches. The bathrobe and full set of soap and shampoo dispensers were nice extras, and everything felt clean, modern, and convenient.

We took a little getaway together and this was our first time here. The grounds look really nice, and parking was easy. The rooms are a little tired, but still doable. I’ll definitely come back.
