Our twins, who are 5, walked into the room and found a pop-up tent, sand buckets, and cute coloring booklets waiting for them. They were so excited, and it turned the stay into an adventure for them while we got a relaxing getaway. The staff had clearly put thought into those details, and we’re grateful for the team’s kindness and creativity. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, and made our family feel at home. We can’t wait to return.

We were traveling down the coast and had a fourth-floor room overlooking the cliffs. Sitting on the balcony with a cocktail to watch the sunset was perfect. The bed and pillows were fabulous, and the shower pressure was amazing, which matters a lot to me. The staff and bartenders were terrific. We’d absolutely come back for more nights and explore the area. The only thing missing for us was a dog. We’d just lost our family dog, and seeing everyone with their furry friends made me feel like we should’ve borrowed one. Wonderful stay!

We stayed for two days while our house was being worked on, and it was so convenient for our family to enjoy a beach resort close to home. The location is perfect, the resort is clean, and the staff are wonderful. The Cliffs Resort never stops impressing us, and being able to bring our dogs was extra awesome. THE BEST!!!!! The room was pristine, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the scenery, and the staff were super kind and friendly. There were a few gameboards in the lobby, and the whole place is smoke-free, so the air felt even fresher. I loved the convenient beach trail and outdoor space with fire pits and a beautiful lawn. Marisol is elegant and beautifully decorated, too. The location is great for Shell Beach and about a 20-minute walk from downtown Pismo Beach. Definitely recommended!

We had a small hiccup in the morning, but the staff were so friendly that we all laughed about it afterward. The manager, whose name I believe was Louie, was generous about making things right. We stayed in a Signature room on the 5th floor, the adults-only floor. I’ve stayed at several hotels in Pismo, and this one is now our go-to. We might even have our wedding here. You won’t be disappointed choosing The Cliffs!
