The balcony and the up-north decor were nice, and the location is great. Check-in was quick enough, most of the staff were friendly, and the room was clean aside from two sticky spots on the carpet. I had a jacuzzi tub in the room but never got around to using it. The pool and hot tub were out for maintenance, which was a big letdown, especially for the families there. They didn't offer a discount. The bed was unbelievably hard, like sleeping on the floor, and the paper-thin pillows didn't help. Neither my friend nor I slept well. At over $400 for two nights, I expected much more. I honestly don't think I'd stay here again.

I booked this place for the pool, hot tub, and sauna, so finding the pool and hot tub empty was a real disappointment. The lounge was closed too, and never opened while we were there. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, the smoke detector was missing, and the window was so fogged over I couldn't see through it. The main door only latched if I slammed it hard. Breakfast was just cereal or a bagel. The outside looked nice, but inside was another story, and I wasn't impressed with the standards here. I would not recommend it to anyone.

We came for an anniversary break after a train ride, hoping to relax by the pool and hot tub. Both were out of order, so we ended up watching TV instead. No discount was offered, and we were really disappointed. We'd arrived an hour earlier than planned, and they were going to charge us $20.00 even though the room was ready, but then they waived it. They said someone would come fix the pool the next day, a Sunday, but I didn't believe that after seeing a review saying it had been down since 2019. It felt like money was all they cared about. They need to fix the pool and hot tub if they want better reviews and more customers. I wouldn't go back.

The owners really make you feel appreciated, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. The TV had better channel choices than any other place I've stayed, and there's AC and Wi-Fi too. The hotel is by the lake where locals and visitors gather, in a quaint town. This is the place to stay there. I also had one of the best pizzas I've ever had there.

The staff were professional and helpful, and the place was fairly clean with nice decor. But the pool room has been closed for years because of broken pipes, and I wouldn't have booked if I'd known. The website needs updating. Breakfast wasn't well stocked, so I kept having to ask for things. The dining room fan was pretty dirty, and it had made the ceiling dirty too.
