Belle Oaks Inn

After driving through heavy rain the whole way to Gonzales, with visibility so bad I could hardly see the road, my husband and I arrived exhausted. Vanessa Terry welcomed us with a smile and immediately made us feel at home. We were booked in the carriage house, but she showed us around downstairs in the main building and said to ask if we needed anything. A room in the main house opened up Friday night because of the storm, though those guests were still coming Saturday, and she generously offered it to us for the night. We were touched and accepted. We’d planned the trip for business, but also wanted a weekend away, and booked Belle Oaks Inn at the last minute. Thanks, Vanessa, for taking such good care of us. We’ll see you next time we get away to Gonzales.

We felt comfortable right away, like we were staying with family we actually get along with. The hosts were great, and the property is unique with lots of history. It’s close to the mineral springs and was very relaxing. We’ll be back.

Our room was lovely, and we could walk everywhere. The hosts were fantastic. There’s plenty of history around the area, and this felt like a great base for couples exploring a really nice, safe town. A great way to experience Gonzales.

Rob and Monica are what made our stay so good. Monica clearly enjoys cooking for and pampering guests, and even prepared special meals for my food allergies. I loved hearing about the history of this beautiful B&B. I’ll be recommending this delightful inn to friends and family.
