Trail's End Motel Sheridan

We had booked a room weeks ahead for an overnight stop while traveling through Sheridan. When we arrived around 8 pm, well before their midnight check-in deadline, no one was at the front desk, and their phone number was out of service. The inn and the area looked sketchy. After we found a room at the bayview, its employees had nothing good to say about this place and said bad stuff happens here, so it has a reputation in the city. The hotel also refused to refund us. The cheap rate wasn't worth the hassle. Stay away.

I've stayed here twice, and it seems to cater partly to extended stays. The room was decent, though the hallway was pretty disgusting. I booked two queens but didn't get them, so I slept on a very uncomfortable futon; my daughters did better in the single king. Staff were helpful and gave me a discount because they'd overbooked the room I needed. Breakfast was a joke. The price was good, and it wasn't as bad as a lot of extended stay hotels, like The Vegas in Billings, MT.

At 2 in the morning, there was no one at the front desk when we arrived, just a sign telling us to call a number that wasn't in service. We were left with a screaming child and nowhere to sleep because someone didn't want to work their shift. Worst place to stay in the state of Wyoming.

I almost canceled after reading the reviews, but decided to try it. My balcony faced the tracks, and I didn't hear any train noise. The place could use a good wipe-down, but the beds were super comfy and, for the price, I'd stay again. I came for a family reunion, and it was just how I remembered it growing up. I'm sad the pool isn't open anymore, since that was the best part besides the restaurant. As a kid I'd sneak in just to swim. I hope they get it running again. Can't wait to visit again.
