Super 8 Shipshewana

The owner, or at least I think he was the owner, suggested places to eat and checked that we were enjoying ourselves. My friend and I had a really nice stay during our trip to Shipshewana. The room was very clean, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and there was coffee and juice available around the clock. Thanks, Super 8 in Shipshewana. :)

I was in town for work on a six month contract and thought this place seemed decent. Instead, it was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Their policy apparently lets a dog bark all day until 10pm, even nonstop, as long as the room is far from the front desk. There was no chance to nap or have a peaceful moment in my room. The owner didn’t seem to care, maybe they’re too rich to bother. The overnight desk clerk was misanthropic and the most disrespectful front desk person I’ve ever dealt with. He shouldn’t be working with the public. If you read this and still stay here, you deserve what you get.

Spotless room, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The staff were wonderful, professional and still friendly. Best five star motel ever. We’ll definitely come back!

For a budget hotel, it’s a good deal as long as you set your expectations accordingly. I had no complaints, and I’d stay again in a heartbeat. I especially liked the three big dispensers above the shower controls, with plenty of shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. So much more convenient than dealing with tiny bottles.
