Fairfield Manor Bed and Breakfast

We’d never stayed at a B&B before, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but this place went way beyond it. The garden, furniture, and decor had such a whimsical feel. We stayed in the st charles room, and I highly recommend it for the beautiful bathroom and jacuzzi. Breakfast in bed was delicious. The owner also founded monjunis, so it was nice to recognize and support someone local. Some people complained about the price, but my husband and I felt it was well worth it. We’ll definitely come back.

The night was quiet, and I slept comfortably, warm and snug. The Loyola room was comfortable, and I felt safe in Shreveport. Because the Inn’s driveway is steep, John kindly arranged for me to stay at the Manor, where the flat driveway meant I could park safely in the snow and ice. I didn’t want to head back out on icy roads, so dinner was John’s snacks, some wine from his beverage area, and jerky I’d picked up on my road trip. He had lots of snacks and drinks, plus coffee and tea. John made waffles with turkey sausage and avocado toast with an egg for breakfast, and it was delicious. I had plenty of tea, too. It was a perfect start before finishing my road trip. Julia welcomed me when I arrived and helped with breakfast, and she was very kind. I can’t wait to explore Shreveport in better weather on my next visit. Thank you, John and Julia, for a lovely stay.

The owner was very accommodating, and the home was beautiful. This was my first bed and breakfast, and we stayed one night while traveling through. Breakfast was excellent, especially since we had special dietary needs. I’d definitely stay again.

We found just the right place for an important occasion in Shreveport: easy to get to, peaceful, and enchanting. I loved the eclectic artwork and trinkets; they made me curious about the history behind each piece. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and especially clean. We had to leave at the last minute and were disappointed to miss breakfast. One of the lovely ladies heard us and asked us to wait a few minutes. By the time we’d loaded the car, she’d brought us two fresh, hot breakfasts. Such a thoughtful gesture, and the food was amazing. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.
