For $75.00, plus a refundable $5.00 cash fee for the room key, I got a small but adequate room for myself. It had a bed, overhead TV, small microwave, and refrigerator. The old end table and the two pancake flat pillows weren’t great, so I stacked the pillows together. There was a small porch out front where you could sit in nice weather, and the place felt like a tiny one room cottage. The bathroom needed work. Some floor tiles needed repair, and the shower was passable but not what it should’ve been. The toilet was clean enough and worked fine. I didn’t feel safe with the basic door lock, which had no bolt, so I put the end table behind the door for peace of mind. The door had no shade or curtain, though its window panes were painted so no one could see in. The room windows did have curtains. I’d stay here if I had to, but wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

The cabins and surrounding areas could use a little updating, but Rainbow Motel is otherwise a nice, clean place to stay. The people working there are very kind. Nights are peaceful, and my favorite part is hearing the birds in the morning. It makes you feel a bit like you’re sleeping outside. I like the personal feel, and it’s a good time with whoever you’re staying with. 😊🌈😜

After two okay nights in a tolerable room, we got moved to a terrible one. The AC barely worked, and we were bitten several times by what I think were BED BUGS. I wish I could post pictures of our arms and legs, it’s terrible! When we complained the next day, the man said it couldn’t possibly be bed bugs and offered another room only if we washed all our clothes first. If it couldn’t be bed bugs, why insist on washing our clothes? We did it, and the next room was bigger and nicer, though its toilet wouldn’t flush. We were happy enough to plan two more nights, but when my boyfriend called the office around 11 the next morning, close to checkout, they said all rooms were booked and we had to leave. I called pretending to be a prospective guest, and the same man said they did have rooms available. He LIED. I’ll never go back or recommend this place.

I stayed for a week while working as a contractor in the area, and the motel was great value. It welcomed pets, and I really liked having the outdoor grill. The microwave and refrigerator came in handy, and I was surprised they were included at no extra charge.

The room was falling apart, dirty, and smelled like cigarette smoke and curry. We thought there might be bed bugs, but when we calmly told the front desk guy, he yelled, “no there are no bed bugs! No refund for you!” He has no place in customer service. What a dump. Take my advice and spend a few more dollars for Motel 6 or Extended Stay America. Don’t stay here. This place should be condemned.
