Everyone around town, including the visitors, had such friendly, cheerful vibes. There was great food and music, too. Old Sierra City Hotel has a charming, unique, homey feel, and Nate went out of his way to welcome us and help us feel comfortable. A fun place to start an adventure! J+C

We had a really good time at the Old Sierra City Hotel. Nate and Keeley were great hosts and did their best to accommodate us. Their dogs Stompy, Polar and Crash were sweet with our little dog. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The owner told me the hotel has five ghosts, all friendly. Apparently Frank knocked my dogs’ leashes off a shelf, even though it’s flat. The owner only bought the place a month ago, so there’s still work underway, but he’s absolutely willing to do whatever he can to make your stay enjoyable.

We stopped for one night while hiking, and the diner really impressed us. The chef made delicious bolognese pasta with a tasty salad of watermelon, blue cheese, and strawberry. He also let us try his Bugatini, which came with an amazing garlic sauce. Thanks, chef!
