We stayed in “cottage” #2 and would happily come back. Beach entrance #13 is just a three-minute walk south to the end of Crescent Beach, where the sand, seashells, and sunsets are perfect. The place works well for couples or families, with bedrooms at opposite ends and a bathroom for each. The kitchen has enough, and the beach-themed living room furniture covers the basics. The rear pool is thoughtfully laid out and handy, though it’s small and can get crowded since all four units share it.

The mattresses are awful, especially the pullout couch bed and futon. The pool is pretty small for four units, and the water is way too high. Trash comes up from the drain and gets into the rest of the pool. The owner came over to “fix” it, but the water stayed at the same level. The ads hint at privacy, but you share the compound with three other families, one beside you and two above. The beach is walkable, but I’d save the extra money and stay somewhere else.

LJs Cottage has become one of our favorite places on point of rocks after staying at several spots there over the years. The beach access is one of our favorite places on siesta key, and the sunsets can’t be beat. Logan makes everything easy, from booking and arrival through checkout, and if you need anything, he makes it happen. The place has what you need, so you can just arrive and relax. We’ll be back next year.

We only needed to bring our things and groceries because the cottage had everything else. It was clean and roomy, and the pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. We’ll definitely return to LJs.
