Silverdale Beach Hotel

We keep coming back because the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are always kind and ready to help. Breakfast is really good, too. Emma, who works mornings in the breakfast area, is easily the friendliest and most efficient employee I’ve ever met. I’d recommend staying here.

The power was out for nearly the whole night, and the pool area was large but had very little heat while the block was without electricity. The staff stayed patient with all the guests through it. The hotel itself was clean, in a great location, and had friendly employees. One thing to keep in mind on Valentine’s Day: if you want a quiet room, avoid one that could connect to another. The people next door to us were incredibly loud.

I went three days without towels or sheets before finally telling them outright that I needed towels. The walls are paper thin, and noise from the room above comes straight through the ceiling and floors. I could hear every heavy step. Sleep here is a gamble. A family of cats jumping between curtains would probably sound like elephants. The pool was freezing, and the building around it felt like a meat locker, so my kids were miserable. The hotel also recently had a multimillion-dollar renovation, but it still feels like a dump. I’m not a prima donna, and this place is simply bad and past its prime. The owners seem blind to the condition. It needs to be replaced with a proper modern hotel. Even the Romans understood that cement beats wood for building. They’ve also lost their “preferred” status with the DoD. It takes a lot to lose standing with an agency that prides itself on lowest bidders. I’d tell people to stay literally anywhere else, or maybe sleep in their car, where at least they know it gets cleaned now and then.

We felt like we were leaving friends when it was time to go. My daughter and I were treated with so much warmth that the staff made us feel at home. Karen and Latoya at the front desk were always welcoming and ready to help, and Cora, Emma, and Daisy in the restaurant greeted us with smiles and gave consistently lovely service. We make the Best Western Plus our base whenever we’re in Silverdale Washington State, whether for a week or a month, and coming back is always a pleasure. I especially love waking up to the beautiful water view. Renovations were underway during this visit, but they didn’t inconvenience us, and we understood the work was meant to improve the facilities. Breakfast from 7am to 9am was included, with eggs, bacon, muffins, waffles, fresh coffee, and more. We’re looking forward to coming back and seeing the upgraded facilities.
