Kendall Mountain Lodge

The rooms are a bit small, as advertised, but ours was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, the price was good, and it was an easy walk to the bars, restaurants, and shops in town.

The room was spotless, and housekeeping deserves a shoutout for that. We had a lovely stay and got what we expected. The only awkward part was checking in at the Triangle Motel, then having some trouble finding our room outside at first. For what we paid, I did miss having a hair dryer. In a cold climate, it feels like a real necessity for those of us with long hair.

Much better than we expected for the price. Everything was clean and in really good condition, so it felt like great value. It also looks as if they’ve made updates since the earlier comments, including getting rid of the rooms without windows.

It’s a little loud, so light sleepers should keep that in mind. Still, the place was clean and cozy, with a basic motel-hostel feel, and housekeeping was great. My Room 8 was tiny, but I liked it. With my electric lantern and camping chair, it felt like a comfy little camping setup. The private bathroom is across the hall, so keep it locked. I forgot once and someone went in. There are lots of places to eat and shop just a block away. The room had a comfortable bed, decent pillows, a mini fridge, and a coffee maker.
