Teller House

We loved staying here. The place is right on Main St, with everything close by, and booking and check-in were both easy. It’s very clean and well cared for, with spotless furnishings and bathrooms that feel thoughtfully put together.

The location is central to all the shops, and there’s coffee for guests. We found the vintage hotel beautiful, and the area and people were lovely. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and shower robes were available. The weather was perfect for sleeping with the windows open and no AC or heat. The main downside was the bathroom setup. We were traveling with a one-year-old in room 10, which shares a bathroom with room 1 across from the front desk and coffee bar. It wasn’t ideal to share, but better than having no bathroom. Still a great place for the price.

Delaney, the hotel manager, was great, friendly, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed. I liked the minimalist feel, and it still had the amenities I wanted. The hotel is comfortable, has a sense of an earlier time, and is perfectly placed for walking around Silverton. Thank you!

What I’ll remember most about our September stay at the Teller House is how kind and resourceful Shirley was. The town was booked up when we arrived, but she spent more than half an hour on the phone getting clearance for us to use a room reserved through Expedia by a guest who never showed. Then, when our car wouldn’t start in the morning, she made calls and knocked on doors until she found someone to help. The hotel itself is elegant, old, clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We had a quiet, dark back room with snowshoes on the wall, and a very comfortable stay.
