The Alma House Inn

I was looking for a beautiful winter escape, and this historic house was just right. The owner was very friendly and knew a lot about the area. Breakfast was amazing, but Mocha, the friendliest golden retriever I’ve ever met, was the highlight. I’ll definitely be back.

Our first bed and breakfast stay would be hard for another place to beat. The Inn was clean, and Matt was kind and accommodating. It has a relaxing Victorian feel, with a lovely backyard sitting area and hot tub. After hiking, we relaxed outside at night, a wonderful way to finish the day. Matt made us feel at home, breakfast was great, and their dog Mocha is such a sweet boy. We’d definitely like to stay here again.

The host was amazing and made us a stellar breakfast, pancakes, eggs, a sausage patty, coffee, and orange juice. There are bikes to ride around town and a hot tub in the backyard, too. I loved the Victorian look of this place, built in 1898, and it really feels like a blast from the past. I loved every minute and can’t wait to come back next year! (:

We arrived at 10:45 pm, a little worried after a couple of other hotels didn’t come to the desk, but the owner and his wife welcomed us warmly and even gave us a tour at night. The place was VERY clean, has a great story, and the vintage rooms had beautiful views and comfortable beds. We especially loved the big suite and ending the day in the hot tub. Every morning we got a personalized home-cooked breakfast. We enjoyed spending time with Mocha the golden and the two tiny chihuahuas. The value is incredible, and my fiance and I hope to return for our wedding. Wish we could give more than five stars. Can’t recommend this place enough!
