The mattresses were painfully uncomfortable, and the service made this stay a deal breaker. The front desk used to be welcoming a couple of years ago, but now staff barely smile, spoke down to us whenever we interacted, and even left us waiting for coffee they had offered to bring. We stood there ignored for a while. When we arrived, police cars and ambulances were in the parking lot. That didn't affect us, but I was glad our room was away from whatever might have been happening. Even though the room was clean, we felt treated poorly as paying guests. This place has gone downhill, especially in its service, and it also seems to cater to long-term residents. We booked one extra night only because we had to. I wouldn't return, and the experience has damaged my trust in Motel 6, including this Simi Valley location. Bring extra bedding if you stay. A cot can be made comfortable, but staff who don't value customers are the real problem. Go somewhere else for coffee, and spending a little more may get you a much nicer experience, especially on a business trip. To us, this felt like more than a ripoff.

It's in a great spot in town, and the property was quiet and clean. The staff were kind and professional.

The hotel itself is great, but these days there isn't shampoo, and coffee isn't kept in the room anymore, so you have to go to the front desk for it. There's no water either, so bring your own drinking water or you'll be out of luck. I remember Motel 6 used to have enough shampoo in the bathtub for at least one or two people. This isn't just about this location, though, all Motel 6 places seem the same.

Lucia helped us several times and went above and beyond. She was so nice and accommodating, and we really appreciated her service. The room was spotless, not a hair or speck of dust anywhere, and the beds were comfortable. We made the decision at the last minute and weren't disappointed. Grocery stores and fast food are within walking distance, and getting back to the freeway is easy.
