Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel

The lighting was awful, with the room and even the bathroom far too dark. The whirlpool suite I paid $235 for turned out to have only a large tub, no jets. Worse, the room was disgusting: unchanged sheets, an unvacuumed floor, blood smeared on the door jamb, and a big blob of ketchup or BBQ sauce on the side of the TV stand. I complained at the front desk and was told they’d make a note and have the manager contact me. I should never have had to stay in that room, let alone pay $235 for it. I’m beyond upset. I could have stayed at the brand new Canopy or Highpoint Hotel for much less. Lesson learned.

Our room had a smaller adjoining room with a couch that unfolded into a bed, which worked well for our annual New Year’s Eve family get-together. The pool area is a big reason we like this place: there’s a kiddie pool with slides for the grandkids, a hot tub, and a water slide in a separate pool. It was packed, but everyone had a great time. The staff stayed helpful and polite despite being so busy. Breakfast was good, and the staff kept up with the crowd the next morning. We really enjoyed staying here and will be back.

Our kids had a blast, especially in the pool, which is great for small children. The hotel is easy to reach right off I-29, and breakfast has two pancake machines. The rooms were fairly clean but seemed due for a little maintenance. I’ll definitely stay again.

The hotel is huge and easy to reach just off the interstate. It’s dated in places, but very clean, with comfortable beds and pillows. Our kids had fun at the waterpark, though they thought the water was a bit cold. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was good, with lots of seating in a spacious area. The fire alarm went off for a few minutes in the middle of the night, and people were a little loud in the hallway. They weren’t obnoxious, just having fun on New Year’s Eve, so that was expected. We had a good stay and would return.
