We stopped here unexpectedly and found the rooms quiet and clean, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good for a free hotel meal, and the customer service was great. We had our dog with us, and the fee wasn't excessive.

The staff were great, but the facilities were a letdown. The pool stayed closed for my whole visit. The fitness room had a strong smell from off-gassing plastic, with no way to get fresh air in, and I couldn't tolerate being inside for more than 30 seconds. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Breakfast was the usual hotel standard and pretty mediocre: cheap sausage, powdered scrambled eggs, bad coffee, watery juice, and a waffle maker. I wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Sioux Falls during the second leg of a road trip for a family funeral. Our suite had two queen beds and a sofa bed, which worked for one parent and two adult children. The room was clean and comfortable, and everyone on staff was very nice. We used the microwave to make supper in the room because one of us can't eat at restaurants. A freezer drawer in the mini-fridge would have let us keep a pint of ice cream, but that wasn't a top need. Having a pool mattered, and the hot tub was an unexpected extra.

There was plenty of parking, and the hotel was quiet. The rooms were clean and nice, nothing fancy but quite functional. I skipped the breakfast and amenities, though I did use the snack corner. They accept pets for a very reasonable fee and don't ask for a pet deposit. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

The whole property was clean and smelled nice, and we were greeted by friendly staff. The hot tub was just the right temperature. I'll be back.
